Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and the authentication method you used (email/password, Google, or Apple). We do not collect your name unless you provide it.

Usage Data

We track the number of searches you perform in order to enforce your subscription limits. We store which Bible chapters you have studied, saved, or favorited, and any notes you write within the app.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Lucerna does not store your credit card number, expiration date, or CVV. We receive only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status from Stripe. For more information on how Stripe handles your payment data, see stripe.com/privacy.

Device and Technical Data

We may collect basic technical information such as your device type, browser, and IP address for security and performance purposes. We do not sell or share this data.

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the Lucerna service
• Enforce subscription limits and process payments
• Store your saved studies and notes
• Send important account and billing communications
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising purposes.

Lucerna uses the following third party services:

• Supabase, for authentication and database storage ( supabase.com/privacy)
• Stripe, for payment processing ( stripe.com/privacy)
• Anthropic, for AI-generated research content ( anthropic.com/privacy)
• Cloudflare, for hosting and performance ( cloudflare.com/privacypolicy)

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving billing disputes.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your saved studies and notes

Lucerna is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at lucernabible@gmail.com.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, row-level security in our database, and server-side handling of all payment and billing data. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the Last updated date above. Continued use of Lucerna after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
